Salaries of permanent employees:
The salaries of auawirleben's permanent employees are calculated according to salary classes, age, seniority and management responsibilities. There are no salary reductions or increases based on performance appraisals.
The current gross annual salaries for the business year 2023/2024

- Direction (80%): 84‘933.-
- Production & Administration (55%): 46‘475.-
- Dramaturgy & Organisation (8 months à 61%): 53’939.-
- Communikation (50%): 42‘250.-
- Technical Direction Team A (9.4%): 7'623.-
- Technical Direction Team B (9.4%): 7'776.-
- Technical Direction Team C (9.4%): 7’960.-
- Intern (8.5 months, 50%) : 6’375.-
In detail, the salaries of permanent employees are as follows: auawirleben has 4 salary classes (basic annual salary): theatre management: CHF 70,000.-, section management: CHF 60,000.-, section staff: CHF 53,000.-, internship: regulated separately. From the age of 21, there is an annual allowance of CHF 800.- for all salary categories until the maximum of CHF 13,000.- is reached. During the first four years of employment, a seniority allowance is paid up to a maximum of CHF 5,000. (CHF 1'900.- in the second year of employment, CHF 1'700.- in the third, CHF 1'400.- in the fourth). The sole director of the festival will be compensated with a maximum of CHF 10'000. The amount up to the maximum amount is determined by the Board of the association.
